Case study · Global retail

Helping teams see the store before it was built.

On Nike's global retail design team, I contributed 3D visualization and design to flagship stores, emerging-market locations, and the fixture standards regional teams built from.

The team

Designing Nike's own stores.

Nike's global retail team designs the company's own stores, the ones once called Niketowns. North America and Western Europe had their own design teams, but the emerging markets in South America and Asia outside China weren't big enough to carry one. Our team designed for all of them, plus the US flagships.

We also designed the fixture programs that regional retail teams used in their own stores, connecting a global brand direction to the needs of each location.

My role

My part.

My main focus was 3D visualization, turning store concepts into images people across the company could review and discuss. Building a detailed model means working through the space, the fixtures, and how product is shown, so I contributed to those design decisions and to visual merchandising alongside the wider team.
