Hello, I'm Josh.
I'm curious about how things work, and I've been taking things apart to find out for as long as I can remember. I studied architecture at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles and on Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Architecture taught me to pay attention to how people experience something, question the assumptions behind it, and keep working an idea until it's useful. I still approach most projects that way.
I learn best when I have something real to build. When people kept telling me I should be working with AI agents, I wanted to understand what that meant in practice, so I built a newsroom run by five of them. Keeping it running has taught me more than any demo could.
My family is from Pendleton, Oregon. I grew up on the Beach Boys and 90s grunge, which probably explains my attachment to wool board shirts. Most weekends I'd like to be somewhere in the Oregon high desert in an old Land Rover, usually on public land I want to help keep public. I'm a licensed ham radio operator and drone pilot, and I'd rather own one thing that lasts than three that don't.
Keep going
